Ico Gen Phase 8 : Multi-phase protein complex
- Sustained release formula with 7 protein sources
- 8-hour steady supply
- Growth of muscle mass (protein)
n ongoing supply of protein is a key factor when it comes to building muscle mass. That is why we developed Ico Gen Phase 8, a multiphase sustained release protein complex.
Combining a very precise ratio of seven complementary protein sources with variable digestion rates, Ico Gen Phase 8 enables a sustained amino acid release for up to 8 hours.
The fast-digesting proteins (whey hydrolysate, isolate and concentrate) are the first to deliver their amino acids. Then the medium-digesting sources (egg and milk proteins) and eventually the slow-absorbing caseins (micellar casein and calcium caseinate) take over for an ongoing support.
Our protein complex accounts for 96% of the product composition (value for the vanilla cream flavor). Each serving brings 24,2 g of proteins rich in amino acids, namely BCAAs (5,4 g per dose), for only 1,8 g of carbs and 0,5 g of saturated fats (values for the vanilla cream flavor, it may vary slightly depending of the taste).
Taken three times a day, Ico Gen Phase 8 offers a sustained protein release all day and night long, which results in maximum gains.
Ico Gen Phase 8 brings multi-stage release proteins :
Each dose provides an ongoing amino acid support for up to 8 hours.
The protein sources
Whey protein hydrolysate
It is the fastest digesting protein available. Whey protein hydrolysate delivers its amino acids into muscles very quickly. It is obtained through hydrolysis, a process during which protein molecules are broken down into smaller chains called peptides and polypeptides. This explains why whey protein hydrolysate is absorbed almost instantly, for immediate support.
Whey protein isolate
It has a high biological value and provides a very large supply of essential and non-essential amino acids but hardly any carbs, sugars or lactose. It is obtained through an ultrafiltration process avoiding any denaturation of the protein structure. The isolate used in Ico Gen Phase 8 brings more than 90% protein. Easily digested, it is the second protein source that feeds muscles, just after the whey hydrolysate.
Whey protein concentrate
Whey protein concentrate is made up of rapidly absorbed short amino acid chains. It works together with whey protein hydrolysate and isolate for about 2 hours.
Egg albumin (egg white) has an excellent amino acid profile. It is particularly high in L-Arginine. This medium-digested and easily assimilated protein source takes over fast absorbed proteins and offers an amino acid release for 3 to 4 hours.
Milk protein concentrate
The milk protein concentrate included in Ico Gen Phase 8 has a very high nutritional value. It is an excellent source of whey (20%), but above all of casein (80%), a slow-absorbing protein. It is particularly rich in BCAAs and L-Glutamine.
Obtained through a microfiltration process preserving the protein structure, the micellar casein included in Ico Gen Phase 8 has a high biodisponibilty and is easily digestible. Providing a progressive and steady protein supply, it can feed muscles for 7 to 8 hours. Micellar casein is a really good choice to to maintain lean muscle mass over time.
Calcium caseinate is a very slow-digesting protein source with a high amino acid profile. Because it is absorbed at a slower rate than any other protein, it extends muscle growth for up to 8 hours. Calcium caseinate is also particularly rich in L-Glutamine while being poor in fats and carbs. The calcium caseinate used in Ico Gen Phase 8 is obtained through a filtration process preserving all its components and optimal purity.
Nutrition facts for a dose of 30 g
(Values for the Vanilla Cream flavor, it may vary slightly depending on the taste)
• 24,2 g protein
• 1,8 g carbs
• 1,4 g fats, of which 0,5 g saturated fats
2000 g (66 servings)
Mix 30 g in 200 to 250 ml of liquid (water, skimmed milk, vegetal milk). Adjust the quantity of liquid according to the desired consistency and taste.
Ico Gen Phase 8 can be used anytime when a quality protein intake is needed. Take 1 to 3 dose(s) a day : at breakfast, as snacks between meals, before exercising, after a training session, at bedtime. It is advised to spread the doses over the day.
Focus on muscle growth
When you want to gain muscle mass, nutrition is as important as training. Because the building phase takes place between workouts, and only if the right nutritional “materials” are available. All experts agree that protein is definitely the key aspect.
Some athletes rely exclusively on whey protein whereas others prefer casein or egg protein. In reality, each protein source has strengths and weaknesses. For example whey protein has a very high biological value and amino acid profile but is also so easily assimilated that it fuels muscles only for about 2 hours. If you want to get the best results, you have to maintain a sustained protein release.
Some experts highlighted that when you add medium-digesting proteins to whey, muscle synthesis is maintained for longer than when using whey alone. It has also been pointed out that when you further add slower digesting proteins, muscle growth is even more important. Combining multi-stage release proteins enables you to get the benefits of each of them, with a significant impact on your overall gains.

The Coach’s corner
Ico Gen Phase 8 has been designed to provide a sustained protein release. With 3 servings a day, you get a 24-hour amino acid supply for maximum results.
A high quality multisource protein that digests very well and helps to get noticeable muscle gains.
To achieve outstanding quality, we pay close attention to each step of the manufacturing process : development, selection of the different protein sources, manufacturing. We also carry out strict controls to make sure our products meet the highest standards of quality. That is why you can be sure that each gram of protein listed on the label is fully included in the bottle and that the formula contains no hidden sugars or fats.
